The Interior Minister Imad Al-Trabelsi said that organized and cross-border crime is a threat to the security of our countries, especially terrorism, stressing the necessity of strengthening joint Arab security cooperation to combat these crimes.

Al-Trabelsi added, in his speech during the 41st Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia, that the Ministry of Interior worked to develop the technical work mechanism, which contributed to controlling many cases, according to him.

The Interior Ministry has launched comprehensive national plans to secure the borders and combat crime and illegal immigration, which have exhausted the Libyan state, the minister said.

He also pointed out that the ministry succeeded in eliminating terrorist groups and striking criminal groups that smuggle people and drugs, confirming that it is working to develop a crisis and disaster management mechanism.
