The Tobruk Medical Centre has received around 37 individuals suffering from food poisoning after consuming a contaminated meal at a local restaurant.

The centre confirmed that the patients underwent necessary examinations before being discharged.

Disturbingly, Libya has experienced a significant upsurge in food poisoning incidents, particularly from meals consumed at dining establishments or during public gatherings.

This alarming trend is occurring in the context of regulatory authorities' underperformance and a lack of accountability for the entities operating in these compromised venues.
