Minister of Transport Mohamed El-Shahoubi held talks with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Burkina Faso to Libya, Idrissa Sekda, on Sunday. The meeting was intended to review and update the previous cooperation agreements to ensure they remain relevant and in line with current times.
A readout by the ministry said the parties explored the formation of a joint committee between the two countries to facilitate the resumption of African airlines' flights to Burkina Faso airports and to streamline transit trade.
During the meeting, the Chargé d'Affaires extended an invitation to the Libyan side to invest in Burkina Faso, which Minister Shahoubi welcomed and pledged to establish a committee to implement the investment plan.
