The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Accord, Fathi Bashagha met on Wednesday, in Misrata, the US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, in the presence of the commander of Volcano of Rage field operations room and member of the 5 + 5 committee, Major General Ahmed Abu Shahma.
The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between Libya and the United States of America, especially in the security field, in addition to a number of issues of common interest, according to the Ministry of Interior.
They reviewed the security and political situation following the recent developments, and the outcomes of the 5 + 5 dialogue, which was held in Ghadames during the past period.
The two sides also stressed that political tracks are the only way to support stability in Libya.
