Motorway crashes on Libyan roads have killed 1,279 people during the first half of 2023, a recent bulletin by the Interior Ministry shows.

The ministry's data listed 4,184 traffic accidents during this period. Around 1,828 people were critically injured, while 1,686 people sustained minor injuries.

The total loss resulting from these accidents was estimated to be 32,022,964 Libyan dinars.
