The Interior Minister Abdelsalam Ashour said they are working on setting up a security plan to protect the process of the upcoming elections.
Ashour told reporters on Tuesday that the announcement of the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj that elections’ preparations are underway was met with forming an elections affairs office by the ministry on July 20.
Meanwhile, the Head of the High National Elections Commission said Monday they were ready to carry out the elections if the needed laws were issued.
