Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation Ali Al-Abed attended the 112th session of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
The conference discusses vital work-related issues and ways to improve working conditions worldwide, setting them into international labour standards. The agenda includes fundamental principles and rights at work, biological hazards, decent jobs, and social justice.
In his address at the conference's opening session, Al-Abed emphasized the importance of international cooperation in improving working conditions and providing workers with a safe and sustainable working environment.
He highlighted the efforts made by the Government of National Unity to enhance the labour system and develop local legislation in line with international labour agreements and recommendations.
