Libya's Ministry of Interior participated in the 7th Interpol meeting for police chiefs in the Middle East and North Africa region, held in the French city of Lyon during the days of November 2 and 3.

The meeting addressed issues related to border security, combating terrorism, and drug smuggling, in addition to areas in which Interpol’s police initiatives could be investigated.

Major General Abdel Wahed Abdel Samad, Director of the Interior Minister's office, headed Libya's delegation to the Interpol.

In his speech, he highlighted the ministry's plans to combat crime and emphasized their keenness to support the existing cooperation relations with the organization.
