Libya reaffirmed its rock-solid support for the Palestinian cause during a ministerial meeting at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation gathering in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The acting Foreign Minister of Libya, Al-Taher Al-Baour, demanded urgent Arab and Islamic action on what is happening in Gaza, as he called for coordination of international efforts "to stop the Israeli aggression" against the besieged territory immediately.

"Arab and Islamic countries have a historic opportunity to restore the confidence of their people towards the Palestinian issue by imposing the Islamic posture and establishing a mechanism to stop the aggression against Gaza," Al-Baour said.
