The Audit Bureau Head, Khaled Shakshak, met with the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Begeç, on Tuesday in Tripoli to discuss bilateral cooperation in financial oversight and economic affairs.
The meeting reviewed the 2020 cooperation agreement between Libya’s Audit Bureau and Turkey’s Court of Accounts, which covers expertise exchange and training programs.
Discussions also addressed Libya’s economic and financial situation and ongoing projects undertaken by Turkish companies.
Both sides reaffirmed the Audit Bureau’s independence in monitoring public funds and reviewing government contracts to ensure effective financial oversight.
