Libya’s Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, held a meeting in Cairo with his Egyptian counterpart, Mohamed Gibran, to discuss a clear mechanism for registering and regulating Egyptian labour in Libya, ensuring the rights of both business owners and workers within legal frameworks.
According to a statement posted on the Libyan Ministry of Labour’s Facebook page, the two ministers discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in employment, labour market organization, and facilitating procedures to serve the mutual interests of both countries.
The meeting was part of ongoing coordination efforts to ensure a structured and safe working environment while enhancing joint cooperation on labour market issues between Libya and Egypt.
