The Presidential Council (PC) Chairman, Mohamed Menfi, hosted a farewell meeting on Sunday with Algerian Ambassador Suleiman Chenine at the council’s headquarters in Tripoli. The meeting marked the conclusion of Chenine’s tenure in Libya.
During the meeting, Ambassador Chenine praised Menfi’s efforts to strengthen the brotherly relations between Algeria and Libya, emphasizing the importance of these ties for the benefit of both nations.
Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently announced the appointment of Abdelkrim Rekibi as the new Algerian ambassador to Libya.
Rekibi will succeed Chenine, with the transition confirmed in a January 20 statement from the ministry, reported by Algeria's state news agency.
