The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has discussed with the German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, the political process and ways to achieve consensus between the parties by holding elections as soon as possible to end the transitional stages.
According to a statement by the Media Office of the Presidential Council, the German ambassador gave a briefing on his visit to the city of Derna and the rest of the affected areas in the east of the country as a result of the floods caused by Storm Daniel over the past period.
The two sides also discussed the situation in the areas affected by the disaster and the importance of concerted efforts to provide all types of support and reconstruction to these areas.
