The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has invited the President of the Republic of Congo Brazzaville, Denis Sassou Nguesso, who chairs the High Level Committee of African Union Heads of State and Government on Libya, to visit Libya in order to support the council’s efforts to make the national reconciliation project a success and to achieve stability and peace.
This came during his meeting with Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Congo, Jean-Claude Gakosso, to discuss the efforts exerted at the regional and international levels in order to reach a political solution to the Libyan crisis, according to the media office of the Presidential Council, on Monday.
Menfi reiterated the position of the Presidential Council that calling for expediting a peaceful intra-Libyan solution to the current crisis.
