The Head of the Presidential Council (PC), Muhammad Menfi, received, on Sunday, the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall.
A statement by the PC said that Ambassador Hurndall praised the council's role in unifying the state institutions and creating a suitable political environment to ensure free and fair elections.
On his part, Menfi expressed his appreciation for Britain and its support for Libya, reaffirming his government's keenness to see a unified military establishment and make the national reconciliation a success.
He also vowed to work to ensure the fair distribution of wealth and steer the country towards elections.
