The Minister of Local Government, Bader Addin Al-Toumi, has discussed with the Ambassador of Malta to Libya, Charles Saliba, cooperation in the field of capacity building.

Al-Toumi emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in various sectors between the two countries, particularly in the area of local governance, according to a statement from the Ministry of Local Government on its Facebook page on Tuesday.

For his part, the Maltese ambassador expressed his country’s support for efforts to stabilize Libya and its commitment to strengthening the partnership with Libya to achieve development in both countries.

He mentioned that Malta could offer a lot in the field of training and capacity building, noting that it has been a leading country in joint efforts with Libya, including diplomatic representation and the resumption of air traffic between the two countries.
