The Minister of Transport in the Government of National Unity, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, has called for the return of French companies to resume and activate their contracts concluded with the transport sector.

This came during his meeting with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Mihraje, to discuss the air embargo imposed on Libyan aircraft in European airspace.

Al-Shahoubi indicated that the Civil Aviation Authority contracted with a consulting office to prepare a digital transformation project, with the aim of developing the civil aviation sector, in coordination with international aviation organizations.

It is expected that there will be a visit by the audit team during the month of July to assess the current situation of the Civil Aviation Authority in the country, Al-Shahoubi added.
