The Ministry of Health of the Government of National Unity has confirmed the control of poisoning cases due to polluted water in the flood-hit areas east of Libya.
Ministry spokesman Muhyiddin Nweji said, "the environmental situation in the region is considered stable as eight field hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health are currently operating in the affected areas, in addition to a number of health units”.
Nweji added that the Ministry's field teams are continuing to evaluate the maintenance and restoration work needed by the rest of the hospitals in order to open them as soon as possible.
