The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, has decided to assign the Minister of Local Government, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, to run the tasks of the Ministry of Interior, starting from Friday.
This came in a letter Dbeibah sent to Al-Toumi, according to the GNU media office, noting that the decision came in accordance with the requirements of the public interest.
The decision to dismiss the former Minister, Khaled Mazen came after clashes that took place in Tripoli, which were first started in Zwait Dahmani and Furnaj districts and reached Mashtel Road in Ain Zara area, resulting in deaths and injuries.
