Qatar has requested the support of the State of Libya for its candidacy for membership in the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), according to the Ministry of Transport of the Government of National Unity.
This came in a statement following a meeting between Undersecretary Wissam Al-Idrissi and the Chargé d'Affairs of the Embassy of Qatar in Libya, Abdullah bin Mubarak Al-Marri.
The meeting comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially in the field of transport, according to the Ministry.
