The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, in his capacity as “Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army”, met Saturday with commanders of the central, western and Tripoli military zones to discuss the latest security developments in the southern region.
The commanders of the military zones also presented the measures taken to equip the military force that was tasked by “the Supreme Commander” to protect and secure the southern region, stressing the readiness of the battalions assigned.
The resolution issued by “the Supreme Commander” provided that the southern force will consist of a battalion from each military zone with all its personnel, equipment, weapons, and ammunition.
