The Victims Organization for Human Rights has confirmed that Sheikh Muftah Al-Bijou is still forcibly disappeared after being kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his home in Benghazi last February.
Al-Bijou, 74 years old, was kidnapped from his farm in the Abu Atni area, south of Benghazi, by a masked group wearing civilian clothes and driving four cars.
The Al-Bijou’s family said that armed men stormed the farm, broke down the doors, and terrorized the women and children without identifying themselves and not showing any permission from the prosecution to arrest or search the house, and they stole a sum of money and personal belongings.
