Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Adel Jumaa, confirmed that the ministry dismissed a teacher after beating students in one of the classrooms in the city of Sabha.
Jumaa said in a press statement on Friday that the ministry adopted the decision by the Office of Education in Sabha to dismiss the teacher after the assault was proven to be true.
He added that the ministry had issued a plan to education offices in the regions to form committees to investigate all violations related to school bullying.
Earlier, a video was circulated on Wednesday on social networking sites showing a teacher foot whipping two students in a school in Sabha.
