The Advisory Committee, formed by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), concluded its fifth meeting on Tuesday, after meetings for three days in Tripoli.
In a statement on its official page, UNSMIL explained that the committee continued to discuss contentious issues within the electoral framework, including the key elements necessary to create a conducive environment for holding elections.
According to UNSMIL, the committee has been tasked with reviewing the current electoral framework in Libya and proposing options to overcome the obstacles to the effective implementation of the elections.
