Zliten municipality initialized a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the US Global Innovative Consulting & Services Group (GICSG) to conduct a project aimed at installing a database for the municipality.

“We’ve agreed with the GICSG to prepare technical and financial analyses for the project, which will be an information platform to be used by the municipality.” Zliten mayor, Muftah Ehmidi, indicated.

He added that the database will be a turning point for the city as it will be used by the city and by all Libyan cities at large, not to mention that it will be handy for service sectors when they want to collect data, he added, saying it will help officials take decisions easier.

“The project will be finished piecemeal. We will start small, then after a common ground regarding finances is set up with the US firm, it will grow bigger.” Zliten mayor explained.

The GICSG's representative gave a presentation on the project and the steps needed for it to be done in the presence of the mayor, municipal members, security personnel and bank officials in Zliten.
