‎The spokesman for Misrata Medical Center, Mohammed Al-Nihom, announced that the number of deaths of the Wadi Al-Lood road accident that occurred on Sunday had risen to nine people and 24 people were injured, stressing that the emergency department at the Center were prepared to receive injured cases.

Al-Nihom said that most of the injured people were taken to the neighboring areas near the accident site in Abu Grein and Waddan hospitals and their surroundings, noting that they are in the process of receiving a person suffering from multiple fractures at Misrata Medical Center.

Al-Nihom said that Misrata Medical Center is in contact with the hospitals that received the injured in the accident to coordinate, receive and treat the people, expecting to receive a larger number of cases in the coming hours. 

The spokesman for the Ambulance and Emergency Department, Osama Ali, said that at least eight people were killed and 20 others were injured today in a horrific traffic accident involving a bus belonging to Al-Sahm Public Transport Company, during its trip from Jufra to Tripoli.

The accident occurred on the Wadi Al-Lood-Abu Najim road, about 130 kilometers from the city of Waddan, as a result of the bus colliding with a herd of camels on the road, according to a statement by Al-Sahm Public Transport Company. 

Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Janah, offered his sincere condolences to the families of the deaths, stressing that he will personally follow up on the condition of the injured who were transferred to hospitals to receive the necessary medical care, and directing the central operations room to coordinate with health facilities to provide all the required support.
