The Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, has agreed with its Tunisian counterpart to expedite the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the two countries, which focuses on providing job opportunities for youth and exchanging expertise.
This agreement came during a meeting between Libyan Minister Al-Abed and his Tunisian counterpart, Lotfi Dhaib, on the sidelines of the high-level regional meeting on youth learning, skills development, and transition to decent work, held in Tunis on June 26-27.
The MoU also aims to leverage modern technologies in regulating labour market procedures and ensuring workers' rights to benefit both neighbouring countries.
The ministers stressed the importance of joint cooperation and strengthening relations between the two nations to achieve the aspirations of young people and provide decent job opportunities that contribute to both countries' economic and social development.
