Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, participated Thursday in the round table, in the Chinese capital Beijing, in the presence of a number of heads of state and government of the African Union and Chairperson of the African Union Commission.
The session was chaired by Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party and Deputy Prime Minister, from the Chinese side.
The title of the round table was the Belt and Road Initiative at a high level of quality, as the forum was divided into four main themes.
Menfi delivered a speech on the most important of those themes, which is the Belt and Road Initiative, addressing the Libyan-Chinese relations and the prospects for Chinese-African cooperation, praising the Chinese position towards Libya, which was announced by the Chinese president during the meeting that brought them together yesterday in the capital Beijing.
