The Head of Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi has reiterated support of the Libyan people for an independent state in Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital.

These remarks came in a meeting in Tripoli on Monday with the Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Eshtaya, and his accompanying delegation.

The Head of the Presidential Council reviewed with Eshtaya Libyan-Palestinian relations and the latest developments in both Palestine and Libya as both side signed five agreements and MoUs in political, economic and other fields, including job opportunities for qualified Palestinians in Libya.

The Palestinian PM also met with the Libyan PM Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and discussed the latest developments in the two countries and the region. Later in a joint presser, Eshtaya said they had discussed creating job opportunities for qualified Palestinians in Libya.
