The revolutionaries of the western region threatened the countries that are supporting Khalifa Haftar of losing the gas supplies from Libya if they continue to support him.

In a statement delivered from the vicinity of Mellitah Complex for Oil and Gas, in which a gas pipeline from Libya to Europe is located, the revolutionaries denounced the silence of the international community and the UN Security Council about the flagrant French intervention and said those countries bear the responsibility for all the war crimes that are being committed against civilians in Derna and Benghazi.

They also called on the UN to end the appointment of Martin Kobler as the UNSMIL Head and UN envoy to Libya.

“We reject the statement made by Mihdi Al-Barghathi, the defense minister-designate of the UN-proposed government, which attacked Defend Benghazi Brigades, who are Benghazi displaced residents and have the right to return, so they are innocent of what they are accused of.” The revolutionaries’ statement reads.

It added that the revolutionaries decry the Presidential Council’s passive stance that shows its role in the conspiracy against February 17 revolution, saying, “Go back to where you came from as you were the reason behind the suffering of the people.”

“We hail the victories made by Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos forces in Sirte against IS militants and we call on all Libyans to renounce the conflicts and unite to help build their country anew.” The statement concluded.
