The Tripoli Sports Clubs Association elected the potential nominee, Jamal Al-Jaafari, for the position of the Presidency of the Libyan Football Federation (LFF) from among eleven nominees from Tripoli.

Al-Jaafari received the majority of votes (8), while Al-Amin Beik got (6), Naji Al-Kikli (4) and Tarek Hashad received (3) votes.

Some clubs abstained from voting in the friendly election that aims at agreeing on one Tripoli nominee, who would be supported by all clubs.

The LFF elections will take place on February 27.

The current Chairman, Anwar Al-Tishani, announced that he is running for a new 4-year term, however most clubs reject his motion.
