The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity announced on Monday that 768 traffic accidents were recorded in January 2025, resulting in 184 deaths, 346 serious injuries, and 238 minor injuries.
This was stated in a report issued by the Traffic Affairs and Licensing Department of the Ministry of Interior, detailing traffic accidents recorded during January 2025.
According to the report, 1,297 vehicles were damaged, leading to financial losses estimated at 2,624,350 Libyan dinars during the same period.
The ministry urged drivers to exercise caution, especially at night during Ramadan and while traveling between cities during Eid Al-Fitr, as increased vehicle movement requires greater attention and adherence to traffic regulations.
