Libya's representative to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni, said: Libya has adopted the draft Arab resolution, which has been in preparation for days, and which condemns the violations of the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip and calls for a ceasefire, allowing the entry of humanitarian aid, and stopping forced displacement.

Al-Sunni pointed out in a tweet that the General Assembly adopted the resolution by a two-thirds majority, noting that the Libyan mission to the United Nations is preparing to chair the Arab Group during the next month.

He continued, “It now remains a collective responsibility for the international community to implement today’s decision and stop these massacres against civilians. Libya will always remain steadfast in its positions and support for the Palestinian people until its independent state is established with Al-Quds as its capital.”
