President Mohamed Menfi of the Presidential Council (PC) met with Tunisian Prime Minister Kamel Al-Medouri on Tuesday to discuss ways to enhance trade relations between the two neighbouring countries. The meeting took place in Beijing, where both leaders are attending the China-Africa summit.
The discussions focused on improving joint trade exchange, advancing economic and security cooperation, and streamlining border crossing procedures at land, sea, and air points. The talks also addressed overcoming obstacles to economic and trade collaboration.
Menfi highlighted the strong historical ties between Libya and Tunisia and urged the swift organization of the Libyan-Tunisian Joint Committee meeting to further strengthen bilateral relations.
The meeting was also attended by Libya’s Minister of Economy, Mohamed Al-Hwaij, and Acting Foreign Minister, Taher Al-Baour.
