The Acting Minister of Interior, Imad Trabelsi has discussed with the Deputy UN Envoy to Libya and Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator Georgette Gagnon the Ministry’s role in child and family protection and cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in preparing programmes in this regard.
The two sides also discussed Ministry of Interior’s efforts to combat illegal immigration and the humane treatment that migrants receive in shelter centers, especially vulnerable groups; children and women, until they are voluntarily repatriated to their countries.
