The Minister of Local Government in the Government of National Unity, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, has called on the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Libya to provide support and assistance to displaced Sudanese in Kufra.
The Minister explained during his meeting with the head of the mission to Libya, Nicoletta Giordano, that the role of the Ministry of Local Government is a service role, stressing the necessity of periodic communication on the future activities of the organization on a regular basis, to ensure that the needs and priorities of citizens are taken into account.
The Minister pointed out the difference between illegal immigrants and residents with work permits and official papers, calling for attention and focus on Libyan citizens displaced from their regions.
