The Sudanese embassy in Tripoli announced that Libyan authorities have released 36 Sudanese nationals who had been detained in illegal migrant detention centers.
The embassy stated that the release of its citizens was carried out in cooperation with the Anti-illegal Migration Agency, according to a statement on its Facebook page on Thursday.
Recent data from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) shows an increase in the number of Sudanese refugees in Libya, as exceeding 240,000 people, with approximately 500 refugees crossing into Libya daily.
