Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, several Libyan embassies abroad organized "Quran memorization" competitions in various countries, including Serbia, Turkey, Malaysia, and Cyprus.
The competitions saw participation from dozens of contestants, with prizes being awarded in the presence of diplomatic officials and members of Arab and Islamic communities.
The Libyan Embassy in Serbia, in cooperation with the Islamic Sheikhdom in Serbia and the General Authority for Endowments in Libya, launched the first international "Wa A'tasimo" competition for Quran memorization.
Meanwhile, in Turkey, the competition at the Hasan Tank Mosque in Ankara focused on the theme "Libya Peace" with the slogan "By the Quran, We Live."
In Malaysia, the Libyan school in Damai organized the fifth edition of the "Wa Ratil" (Recite) competition, which was sponsored by the Libyan Embassy and members of the Libyan community.
Lastly, in Cyprus, the Islamic Affairs Committee of the Libyan Embassy oversaw a Ramadan program that involved arranging Iftar meals and Taraweeh prayers at the Grand Mosque in Nicosia, along with the distribution of aid packages to the refugee camp in Cyprus.
