Presidential Council reviews efforts to consolidate ceasefire in Tripoli

The Deputy Heads of the Presidential Council, Mossa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi, were briefed Sunday on the efforts of the committee tasked with overseeing the implementation of the ceasefire in Tripoli.

The meeting, held at the Presidential Council headquarters, was attended by Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, his deputy Lieutenant General Salah Al-Deen Al-Namroush, as well as the heads of specialized military branches, the Commander of the Central Military Region, the Head of Military Operations, and the Director of the Military Police Department.

General Authority for Exhibitions discusses strengthening cooperation with Turkey

The Chairman of the General Authority for Exhibitions, Essam Al-Aoul, has held several meetings in the Turkish city of Bursa to enhance bilateral cooperation and stimulate exhibition activity and trade exchange between the two countries.

The meetings included the Mayor of Yenişehir, the Director of the Bursa Exhibition Center, the Turkish Companies Coalition, the Union of Chambers of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry, and a  group of Turkish businessmen interested in investing and exporting to the Libyan market.

Libyan football league’s championship round to be held in Italy for 2nd year in a row

The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has officially announced that the championship round of the Libyan Premier League will be held in Milan, Italy, for the second consecutive year. The event is being sponsored by the Government of National Unity, in direct coordination with the Italian Football Federation and with support from the Italian government.

The LFF confirmed that it had started, in collaboration with Libyan governmental entities, completing the necessary administrative and technical arrangements to organize this major football event, which represents the decisive stage of the sports season.

Herd of gazelles released in the Waddan Mountain range

A ceremony was held on Saturday in Wadi Al-Hisan—one of the locations within the Waddan mountain range—for the release of a herd of gazelles, as part of an initiative launched by the Waddan Wildlife Association to preserve biodiversity and environmental balance in the area.

The herd consisted of ten male and female gazelles, previously captured from various parts of Al-Jufra. Some of them were born in private farms in the city of Waddan.

The event was attended by representatives from several official bodies, local civil society organizations, and businesspeople supporting the initiative.

Libya reviews textbook supply amid corruption concerns

The Libyan authorities convened a high-level meeting in Tripoli on Wednesday to address delays and concerns surrounding the printing and delivery of school textbooks for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The meeting, chaired by the head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, included the acting Minister of Education in the Government of National Unity, the Deputy Minister for Educational Affairs, and representatives from several related bodies.

Health Ministry distributes new batch of growth hormone for children

The Ministry of Health in the Government of National Unity confirmed on Monday the arrival of a new batch of growth hormone intended for the treatment of children suffering from growth disorders.

The ministry called on the parents of affected children to visit one of the accredited hospitals or health centers to obtain the medication.
